Do I need a digital camera for this course?
Yes. That is a requirement for the course. A digital SLR camera is preferred, but you can also use a regular point-and-shoot camera.
How do I get photos off my camera?
Each digital camera is different. You can either use the USB plug that comes with your camera or the SD card and a card reader. Transfer these photo files onto your computer and remember where you save them. Then open the assignment and you can attach your photos. :)
- According to the materials section in the course, the minimum requirement is a “Digital camera with at least the following mode options; portrait, landscape, action and macro (close up).
· Set the image size in the camera to “middle size or resolution” – each camera may have a different setting to do so. This is important so that the images will not be too large to upload into the online course (Educator).
· Images should be of .jpg format (check setting on camera).
· If assignment requires more that one image, please put images into a word document, powerpoint or .pdf file.
· If assignments are a paragraph or less and without images, please send the answer in the student comment section of the assessment.
· For essays of long answers without images you may save file as word doc or .rtf before sending them as an attachment in educator.
· Please use the scheduler link on the announcement page to schedule any discussion based assessments or other phone calls.
· Please make sure to print out the updated pace chart from the links found below:
