How do you study?
Do you study all in one night? Do you use circuit learning? How do you train (for a sport)? Do you train all in one day or break it up throughout the week? What methods are most effective for you? You've probably read about growth mindset by now if you are in my Critical thinking courses. But for those of you who have not: Growth Mindset is the way of thinking "I CAN" do this. If you always think that you can NOT do something-- Do you think you will ever will?? It starts with believing in YOURSELF. Even if you can't do something NOW, then think about how you can make a plan to accomplish it. What are your thoughts? Post below!

So, the other day was my birthday, as you know, and I went through the drive thru to get my free birthday drink. I was feeling pretty happy, and I got my drink for free, so I decided to pay for the person behind me and start a chain! They accidentally made the wrong drink for me, so they told me to pull up to the front and wait. As I did, I got to watch everyone's faces as they must have been hearing that the person ahead of them paid for them. I don't know how long after I left this went on, but it was amazing seeing everyone leave with smiles, and it felt good that I was part of something that helped make someone's day that much brighter.
So, this is completely optional and for fun, but I challenge you to do something nice for someone without asking for anything in return. It could be as simple as holding the door open for someone or helping a parent unpack the groceries. It can be anything you want to do. But it would be great if we all can show kindness to others- just that little bit extra. I am going to do the same. If you do this, I would love to hear about it! I want to know more about you! You can check out my "about me" page on my webpage : www.mrsmangold.weebly.com to hear about me! Some random things about me are: I love coffee, ice cream, and I love trying food from all over the world. I am not a huge fan of creepy crawly things or enclosed spaces. The ocean both amazes me and frightens me because it is so vast! I think jellyfish are amazing. I am a night person! I love to read, and I read fast for work, but when I read a novel, I read VERY slowly. I can't help but imagine every little detail, and I paint a picture in my mind. I have been a painter since I was 5, so maybe that is why! |
